Since Baby...

we've been doing great :)
Each night has been different, some nights Laila sleeps great, others she fusses for a while. Some mornings Asher sleeps in, others Laila is up early! One night Laila slept for a 6 hour stretch and another for 5 hours!

We've started calling her "princess" and of course lots of other cute pet names, Asher imitates us which is adorable. Laila really is a great baby, for the most part she really only fusses, rarely cries and when she does it's because she's hungry. We definitely have a snuggle bug on our hands :) More often than not she'd rather snuggle with us than sleep on her own.

At 7 Days old she had her first Dr's appointment and has gained 1oz and just shy of an inch which they said is ahead of the game. We also got ourselves adjusted at the chiropractor which felt amazing! Scared Daddy a little though. That night we went back to our Community Group from church, it was so great to spend time with our friends who have become like family to us!

My Mama gave Laila her first bath, then my Grandmom, then her Daddy, and at 10 days old her umbilical cord fell off so the next day she got her first real bath from yours truly! She wasn't sure what to think about it though.

It makes me sad how much she changes everyday but it also reminds me of how AMAZING God is in how He created us.

We're still struggling financially and trusting in God for each coming day, so if you think of it please keep us in your prayers as Tim seeks a job and I recover so I can continue working in June! Thanks to all who have been praying, God is good!

Feeling sentimental and Making a Mess!

What have I been up to? See the title of this post.. Last week was Asher's last few days of Kindergarten. I finally understand why all the moms feel all the feels those last few days their babies are in school. Not only was my baby becoming a FIRST GRADER (I'm way too young to have a first grader, for serious) but they were his last days in public school. We're HOMESCHOOLING for first grade and beyond! I am excited and nervous to start on this journey, we enjoyed our public school experience for the most part and I know homeschooling is going to be a lot on me but it's what's right for us :) About the mess making part, I've gotten back into my quilting projects and LOVING it. It turns out I'm not the only one, I have a few orders from friends for their own "Made with Love" quilts! I get excited all over again each time I purchase new fabric.. The Hard Part

Genevieve Taylor Labor finally started on Thursday 9/22 after a few false alarms over the previous weeks where I had regular yet inconsistent contractions for hours. I went to bed feeling them but had experienced that so many times before I didn’t think it was real, by 3am I couldn’t sleep through them anymore so I grabbed my phone to time them and see if there was any pattern, They were 3-5 minutes apart and a minute long but the intensity of them was still fairly mild. I got up and moved around, drank some water, ate some eggs and the contractions changed but didn’t stop. I decided to give my midwives a heads up as I was also experiencing some bleeding. Because of the bleeding they decided to come over and check things out around 6am. It was so exciting, it seemed the baby was finally coming!
